...it's probably one of the last pretty days that is warm enough to ride comfortably. So to those of you that have wheels handlebars and a deep throaty rumble, enjoy this gift from above. Blessings :)

Identity crisis
Help! Peepster doesn't know he is a bird! He was the only chick that hatched this summer and we separated him from the hens so he could get the medicated feed since we don't know how to vaccinate chickens. We played with him and let him perch in our hands when he was in the house and when I put him in with my pullets he ran and hid. And he is still staying in the cat carrier. I've only seen him roosting once. Every time I go to the coop he runs up to me and chirps up a storm till I pick him up. The other day I set him in a nesting box and bent down to adjust the rail and suddenly I had company. ;) I've never been too keen on birds but the little buzzard has weaseled his way into my heart.
Inspiration, encouragement, confirmation.
I love the quotes that are in the back of the progressive farmer magazine. They are often the first thing that I turn to. I usually skip the articles and the how-to's but I always read the quotes in the back. I find them both inspiring and challenging. They often echo what I feel in my heart but I can't get into words. This months quotes were on work.
