Old sourdough

What do you do when you are out of bread and find you have no yeast either? You dig the old starter our of the back of the fridge, feed it and pray that it still has some life in it. The first feeding I made pancakes as they do not require quite as much action. Second batch we made bread. Oh! the heavenly aroma! It was a little flat but the taste was out of this world. Thank you God for dear friends like Karen who share their wonderful starter and recipe.
