Delectable delight!

Wednesday, my friend Laura, came over and showed me how her family makes cottage cheese. They use citric acid. I do not have any and don't know where they buy it, so I found a similar recipe that uses vinegar instead.(featured below)I was a little anxious to see/taste the results...I've never tried anything in the realm of cheesemaking before.
It turned out wonderful! About the consistency of store-bought with WAY better taste. My quest for superior cottage cheese is finally done! My deepest gratitude Laura, bon appetite!

  1. You can buy citric acid at The Amish Store.

  2. Did you put milk or cream on it afterwards?

    1. Yes I added a little milk. It looks a little dry in the picts bcuz the curd is finely textured. But it is actually very moist.
